Camellia japonica 'Carter's Sunburst'
2 year old plant= 1 gallon pot.
The very large flowers of this cultivar reach 5 inches and are striped deeper pink on a paler pink background. Flowers range from semi-double to peony forms to formal doubles on the same plant. The large leaves give the plant a coarse texture. The striped flowers mutate to a variety of pink forms that have been named as separate cultivars. An older variety with good cold hardiness.
