Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Goshiki' Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Variegatus'

(zone 6-9)- Goshiki means 5 colored, referring to the green, white, pink, yellow and peach coloration of the leaves, especially the new growth. This slow growing evergreen shrub looks great year round and always attracts attention. It does not seem to flower when young, though the same fragrant white flowers will bloom in late fall on mature specimens. This is suitable as a container plant for winter interest, a low garden hedge, or as a single specimen in a slightly shaded area. 6' x 6' in ten years may be ambitious, but older specimens can grow well beyond that size range.

(zone 7-9) The variegated selection of the Holly Osmanthus is striking! The white edged leaves contrast the dark green center. The variegation is stable and vivid on every leaf of this evergreen shrub. Small, fragrant white flowers surprise passersby in late fall. The habit is fairly round, and somewhat slow. 6' x 6' is a reasonable ten year expectation for a healthy garden specimen. [12'T X 8']
