Agave lophantha 'Splendida' Ardisia japonica 'Variegated Seedlings' Caryopteris divaricata 'Snow Fairy', Variegated Bluebeard
NEW Agave lophantha ‘Splendida’ (zone 7-10) – This succulent forms small rosettes of fleshy bicolored leaves. This
native Agave suckers close to the mother plant and over time can create a wonderfully spiky mound of multi-colored beauty.
This Agave survived last year’s Polar Vortex. [1’T X 1’W] $20
(zone 5-9)-  A Japanese selection of the Himalayan native "perennial Bluebeard".  The variegated foliage has a pungent smell, which repels all pests away, including deer.  In late summer small clusters of blue flowers appear, creating a blue haze above the bright foliage.  Post frost you can cut it to the ground, as it will return in spring, creating a rounded bush of 2-3' tall and wide.  Plant in part to full sun, with moist well drained soil. [4'T X 3'W]

(zone 6-9)- A golden sport of Ilex 'Nellie R. Stevens', shared by Dr. Dirr and named by Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery. The new growth is bright gold which is contrasted by dark green inner foliage. It will produce an incredibly showy crop of bright red berries in fall and winter if planted near a male pollinator. This is a fantastic specimen as a single pop of color, or as a screen hedge to stop traffic! Full sun and evenly moist soil will result in best color and growth habit. [15’T x10’W]

Illicium floridanum 'Southern Star' Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Variegatus' Thujopsis dolobrata "Tom's Best Variegated"
(zone 7-9) The variegated selection of the Holly Osmanthus is striking! The white edged leaves contrast the dark green center. The variegation is stable and vivid on every leaf of this evergreen shrub. Small, fragrant white flowers surprise passersby in late fall. The habit is fairly round, and somewhat slow. 6' x 6' is a reasonable ten year expectation for a healthy garden specimen. [12'T X 8']

(zone 5-9)- These rooted cuttings from the Cox Arboretum in Canton, GA are heavily variegated cream/ white. So much so that we recommend growing in almost full shade to ensure the foliage does not burn! It is extremely showy and quantities are very limited. This selection is far more variegated than what is sold as 'Variegata'. Some what slower growing compared to the traditional forms though will grow into a nice tree in time. [15'T x 10'W]

Price is for a plant in a 3 quart pot.
