Camellia sinensis "China" seeds
Open-pollinated seeds harvested from plants grown from Chinese seeds. These are from our own Tea Garden.
Harvested in October, the current crop is ready to ship and will be ready to plant as early as December. Tea seeds benefit from stratification which is cold moist storage. We store our seeds under these conditions so anything ordered after December is ready for immediate planting.
About C. sinensis "China":
Medium-green leaves on a plant that tends to bloom heavily at a young age. These plants performed beautifully during an abnormally long cold spell for NC: two full weeks with temperatures below freezing!
